Michael A. Falsetti, President, Chief Executive Officer
Michael began his career in the telecommunications industry more than 24 years ago. He worked as a financial consultant before assuming control of the company and rebranding it as Advanced Communications Incorporated in 1982. Michael's entrepreneur vision and strong leadership has grown the company from a local provider to one that now serves markets across the nation. Michael points to the caliber and passion of his employees as the main ingredient of ACI's success; "ACI's most valuable resource throughout its growth has been it's human capital. I'm proud of the fact that ACI today can build 5,000 miles of plant per year and complete 5,000 installations per day. The people of ACI make the difference and are the reason for our success." Michael continues to be a visionary in the telecommunications industry and plays the lead role of defining ACI's future.
Daniel P. Kanaan, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Dan is an entrepreneur that has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than a quarter century. Previous to joining ACI, Dan was a business owner in the services and telecommunications industries. Dan joined ACI as part of the ownership change in 1982 and has worked as its Chief Operating Officer since. Dan describes ACI's growth, "In 1984 we had roughly 12 employees and operated exclusively in Southest Michigan. The company's growth over the past 22 years has been both domestic and international across 14 time zones. I have been on sight and negotiated contracts throughout the continental US, England, Ireland, Scotland, Portugal, and Tahiti. We have also served in advisory and consultant capacity in Australia, Malta and Poland." Dan's role at the company has always been focused on the customers. "Our philosophy has always been to focus good people on delivering what the customer wants and needs. We succeed because our people are flexible enough to change with our customer's demands. ACI is committed to growing and evolving its business to that of its customers and the communications industry as a whole." Dan daily manages the relationships with customers and ACI's solutions to their needs.
Kristin Johnson-Gignac, Chief Financial Officer
Before joining ACI as Chief Financial Officer, Kristin was a Regional Controller for Savin Corporation, a $378 million office supply company. While in that position, Kristin directed all aspects of finance for eight branch locations while simultaneously providing operational and service management support. Her professional experience also included stints in property management and accounting companies. Through her guidance, ACI has achieved higher levels of efficiency for processing service contracts, accounts receivable management and inventory management.
Charlie Crofoot, Vice President, Western Fulfillment Operations
Charlie's career in cable began in 1994 after completing his service in the Marine Corp. After gaining a range of installation experience working with Charter and as an independent sub contractor, he joined ACI in 2000 as a Supervisor. Charlie then held a series of progressively more responsible positions within the company including the installation and launch of a new network in Traverse City, Michigan. Charlie was promoted to Director of Regional Operations for Michigan in 2005.
Bradley M. Baumann, Vice President, Outside Plant Operations
Bradley started his career 24 years ago at Mercom, Inc. Since then, he has worked at Cable Michigan and Charter Communications, where he upgraded over 12,000 miles of cable plant, over 700 miles of fiber interconnects and over 1,100 miles of New Build over a three-year period. As his career has progressed, Bradley has worked his way up from Operations Manager to Vice President, Outside Plant Operations. He is also involved with SCTE on the Chapter level in Michigan.
Micheal Kurcz, Vice President, Human Resources
As a 20 year employee of Advanced Communications Inc, Michael has worked in a number of management roles. He began his career with ACI in 1985 as a Residential Cable Television Technician and worked his way up to Vice President of Operations. During this time, Michael has done everything from installing drop cables to managing multi-million dollar telecommunications construction projects.
A Graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michael is a member of the Society of Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM), ASTD, BICSI and he has also earned the distinction of Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
Richard E. Kish, Vice President, Risk Management
Richard's career started in Safety and Risk Management in 1972. He has held various Senior Management positions with Regional and National Insurance Companies, specializing in Construction Risk Management.
Richard is responsible for our Risk Management Program which includes Workers Safety, Fleet Safety and Claims Management. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Industrial Management and is an OSHA Outreach Instructor. He is members of the Society of Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE) and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
